Who we are
Evolka is an AI fitness coaching app. It is operated by Furthersoft Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14886010). Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
In this policy, “Evolka”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Furthersoft Limited. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, or support, email info@evolka.app.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the Evolka app on iOS and Android (including the App Store and Google Play versions, TestFlight and other pre-release builds), the website at evolka.app, and email you send to info@evolka.app.
Apple and Google have their own privacy policies for processing they carry out as platforms, including the App Store and Google Play, Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In, Apple Health and Health Connect, and payments. This policy explains Evolka’s handling, including service providers working for us.
Evolka coaches fitness. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or emergency help. For a medical concern, speak to a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Information we collect
When you use Evolka with an account, we collect the information below and link it to your account. We do not sell it. We do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Name
When you start, the app asks what to call you. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we also receive the name you choose to share.
Email address
We receive the email address for your account. With Sign in with Apple, that can be your email address or an Apple private relay address. With Google Sign-In, it is your Google account address. If you sign in with an emailed code, it is the address you enter. If you email us, we also receive the address you write from.
Profile and body
To build your program we collect your date of birth (asked as an age), sex, height, weight and unit preference. We use them for training loads, calorie and macronutrient targets, and age-based measures.
Health
If you connect Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android, we access the health types you allow. We use them to show your activity, to prefill your answers and to personalise coaching. Depending on those permissions, this can include steps, distance, calories burned, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, VO2 max, sleep, weight, body fat, lean mass and height, and menstruation if you use Cycle tracking. We store this information with your account. It is not kept only on your phone. See Health and fitness.
Fitness
We collect fitness information you enter or that the app records, such as goals, training experience, session preferences, training setting, equipment, injuries, pain and movement limits you report, workout plans, exercise logs, loads and perceived effort.
Cycle tracking
Only if you turn on Cycle tracking, and only after you agree to it separately: period days, symptoms, sexual activity and test results you enter. Only you see the details. The coach only learns the cycle phase, never the details. You can export or delete this data at any time.
Nutrition
Food you log, favourites, barcodes you scan, allergies you report, and the meal plans and nutrition targets the app builds for you.
Photos and documents
If you use food photo recognition, the photo of your plate is processed with location and camera details removed and is not stored. If you upload a body-composition (InBody-style) report, we read it to fill in your measurements. Both use the AI features described under AI features.
User ID
We create a user ID for your Evolka account and use it to link your information to you. Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In also provide an identifier for the account you used. We do not receive your Apple ID or Google password. These identifiers are for operating Evolka, not for advertising.
Device ID
We collect device or app-installation identifiers linked to your account. We use them to keep the app secure, diagnose crashes and, if you turn notifications on, deliver those notifications. We do not use them for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Other user content
We collect content you create in the app, including messages you send to the coach and notes or feedback you type. Text you enter can include health details or information that identifies you. That text is handled as part of your message.
Customer support
When you contact info@evolka.app, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you include. We connect a request to your account when the details match. Please do not send passwords, full payment card numbers, or health records you do not need in order to explain the request.
Product interaction
We collect information about how you use Evolka, such as the features you use and related product interactions. It is linked to your account. We use it to operate and improve the app, not for advertising.
Crash data
We collect crash reports and diagnostic information, linked to your account, to find and fix failures. A report can include the app and device state at the time of the crash.
Purchase history
Paid features use Apple In-App Purchase on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive purchase and subscription status and history linked to your account so we can provide what you bought. We do not receive your full payment card number.
Health and fitness data
We do not sell health or fitness information. We do not use it for advertising or marketing, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Evolka processes health information only after you give your explicit consent in the app. The full text of that consent is on the health data consent page.
You choose what Evolka can read in Apple’s Health permissions or in Health Connect. You can change or revoke that access in the Health app, iOS Settings or Health Connect settings. Turning access off stops further reads. It does not erase health information already stored in your Evolka account. To remove those copies, delete your account in the app or email info@evolka.app.
Health and fitness information used for coaching is sent to our servers and, if you allow AI processing, can be sent to OpenAI, as described under AI features, so replies can reflect your recent activity. That sharing is for the coaching feature. We do not share this information with advertising networks.
If you allow a feature to save a completed workout or cycle data back to Apple Health or Health Connect, that write happens only with the Health permission you grant. Injury or movement information you provide is also used to adapt training, and it can be included in coaching context.
AI features
Some features use OpenAI as an AI provider. The app asks for your permission before the first one runs, and you can turn it off in Profile → Data & privacy. If you decline, your weekly program is still built by our own rule-based planner, without AI. Data always goes through our servers; the app does not talk to OpenAI directly.
- Weekly program and meal plan: your goals, profile, injuries, allergies and recent workouts
- Food photo recognition: the photo of your plate, with location and camera details removed; the photo is not stored
- Document reading: a body-composition report you upload
- Coach replies: described in detail below
Coach replies
To produce a reply, we send OpenAI the coaching context for that request. That can include:
- Your message, up to four recent chat turns from the previous 24 hours, and the app language
- Your goals, training experience, session preferences, training setting and equipment, injury or movement-clearance information, and the active workout plan
- Exercise summaries from about the last 14 days, including loads, perceived effort and incomplete sets
- Daily summaries from about the last seven days, where we have them: steps, resting heart rate, readiness, sleep duration and score, and heart-rate variability
- Calorie and macronutrient information, and any pending coach follow-up or exercise-change context the feature is using
The same context may be processed again in a second request that prepares the reply. Those time windows limit what is attached to a request. They are not how long we keep your account information.
In this gym-coach context, meal contents and photographs are not added as their own fields. Anything you write in a message can still be sent, including meal details, health information or your name.
OpenAI processes this information to provide the coaching feature. We do not use coaching content for advertising.
Coach replies can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them. They are not medical advice and they are not a promise of a health or fitness result.
How long we keep information
While your account is active, we keep health history and AI chat for up to six months.
You can delete your Evolka account in the app. If you cannot use the app, email info@evolka.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We remove that account’s information from active systems within one week of a confirmed request. Backup copies follow a separate rolling period of up to six months in Germany and then expire. Backups are for recovery of the service. They are not a way to keep using a deleted account.
Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Manage it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. Step-by-step: delete your account.
We keep support messages, security records and purchase records for as long as we need them for those purposes, including legal and accounting duties. We then delete them or remove the link to you.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Choose what Sign in with Apple shares, including your email address or a private relay address, in Apple’s sign-in flow
- Control Apple Health access in the Health app or iOS Settings, or Health Connect access in its settings on Android
- Turn AI processing off in Profile → Data & privacy
- Turn notifications off in the app or in your phone settings
- Download a copy of your data in Profile → Data & privacy
- Delete your account in the app, or ask us by email if you cannot use the app
- Email info@evolka.app to access your information, correct it, ask for a copy, or object to or restrict certain use
Where the law gives you these rights, they can have limits. We may ask for enough information to confirm we are responding to the right person. If a limit applies, we will explain it.
You can complain to a data-protection authority. In the United Kingdom, that is the Information Commissioner's Office. In the EU, it is the authority in the country where you live. In Türkiye, it is the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK); the Turkish notice is the KVKK Aydınlatma Metni.
Age
Evolka is for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed at children. If you believe we have information about a child under 16, email info@evolka.app and we will look into it.
Website, security and changes
This website
The public website has no account registration, contact form or mailing list. The pages do not include analytics or advertising scripts, and they do not set cookies or use browser storage. Fonts and images are served with the website.
Hosting can still process technical connection data needed to deliver the site, such as an IP address and request logs. Emailing us shares your address and message, as described above.
Security
We use HTTPS for this website and limit access to the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use health information, we will also tell you in the app or by email where we have your address.
